My Pictures
There is the photo album (I hope) I always get into a really good groove with my Tripod page then I mess something up and lose my motivation. Workout wise, I rocked the end of June and the month of July until the 26th. One day we walked about seven miles and I felt awesome. I did a lot more than I thought I could and I have so much more respect and love for my body. No joke. So I walked every day for three solid weeks. I enjoyed almost every day and I know I firmed up my core. I feel it, even when sitting and sleeping I feel a lot stronger and I am more concious of what my body is doing and I am starting to figure out what to put into it. (Food wise) I have a big pot o' beans sitting on my stove tonight. I think I will go home, brown a few pounds of hamburger and start getting those beans outta there, maybe give some to my family...friends...even the neighbors but they might be tired of the smell by now...we shall see. I plan on working out tomorrow with Katie, we are going to go through some soccer drills again and I want to begin the weight training stuff again. I will scan one of my sheets so the world can see what's pop-lockin' and everything else. My friend sent me an email today and he is getting married in October near Calgary!! Another reason to get into shape...Sho Ban Festival this weekend, keep your eyes peeled (tee hee) for photos next week.

So I went to Las Vegas
Mood:
happy
Now Playing: Beautiful by Damian Marley
Topic: Recreation
While in Las Vegas I didn't do a whole lot. Yeah I did...went to a few casinos (poor math skills so I didn't gamble) did the Rio buffet with Carla, met the Chippendale guys for a 35 dollar photo, got a little tipsy, and tried to sneak to the Ansel Adams display in the Bellagio...never made it. Check out my photo album to preview a few of the pretty pictures I've posted. I plan on working out tonight, I have another hour of work and I plan to take my new friends Chew and Winsor for a walk. We did three miles yesterday, Winsor didn't enjoy the experience, but I think he liked that fact that we waited up for him (catching my breath) so he ran a lap with me just to show me what time it was...good man! Yeah, I ran a few laps-full laps! NOT IN ONE SHOT MIND YOU! I ran from the big #4 to the big #4. I could hardly believe it. I wasn't going too fast, just a nice even pace. I had Chewy on a leash so he was a great pace setter...he was prancing a little but we made it. I let him off the hook on the last two laps but he did me the favor of hustling back to me once I started the final lap. He'd dodge off and come running across the field-as if to say, "Dang girl, you done yet?" Good times. I plan on lifting tonight, no running for me, my hip is feeling the burn. I played soccer with Kate and I felt a little pull...my damn faulty Barbie-doll hip anyway! Here I come Smith Macheen!

ALRIGHT,SAY GOOD-BYE TO THE UGLINESS THAT WAS!! Sorry for the long delay but I've been livin' it up doing what I do best...adapting and forraging. Moved to the WRRSI Program and After School. Finished the 50-06 School Year and getting ready for the 2006 Summer Eagle Zone to begin today! Working out, ran/walked 3.0 miles (12 laps) yesterday. It was great, and Chewy helped me keep a decent pace. Played basketball, and soccer last week (Thanks Kate!) and lifted weights. Working for that average heart rate of 165-170 I end up feeling a little puky but its worth it!

So this is a photo of our high school student's knee. Over the weekend we took sixteen people to Teton Village for the Ski Club Trip. We had two high school students and the rest were 8th graders or guests and chaperone's. Our high school boys rode the Bridger Gondola and decided to ski down. They did well on their first few runs and around one o'clock our guy got hurt. The (Teton) Village People (yuck, yuck!) did a really great job of getting a hold of me and making sure we had everything we needed in order to transport our student to the emergency room in Jackson for an MRI. We were on the road at 6:00 p.m. and didn't run into any heavy snow until we got to Sage Creek. The younger kids and chaperone's did a great job and I had a good time. Michelle and I did the bumpy trail near Solitude Way, it was pretty scary and I almost made it out without wrecking. Very fun! I think I need to learn how to stand up after wrecking on skis, it's a lot tougher than it looks. I had to take my uphill ski off, just couldn't do it! I ran into these guys on the last ski trip, not sure if you can see everyone? That's Claullen Tillman with his back to the camera. The Simpson's rock!

Make sure you say hello to the new bus drivers and custodians, our janitorial and driving staff are doing a great job and THAT means our After School Program is doing AWESOME! Missoula Children's Theater was a hit, we had kids singing, and learning lines, and learning how to direct, and learning how to do physical comedy, and other kids working on set design, and on, and on, and on till the break o' dawn. We worked Monday night to Saturday afternoon preparing for a great show and it was! Of course it was! Our students are professionals and they know what the week of MCT looks like and what's expected of them! Thanks for your hard work and dedication kids, you did a great job and I believe I can speak for everyone in saying that you're a great group and you did a great job! OUR BATS, OUR BATS, THEY WERE UGLY AND FURRY LIKE RATS! They did a really great job. Very cute and were totally into their parts once on stage. I watched the entire production on Saturday and I was amazed and I loved their presentation. Martina, and her henchmen rocked! Forrest creatures, you were very green and hair sprayed, and the Animals were great. I loved the whole production! I am going to start lifting tonight. I went over my workout with Ms. Sprain and I am working on my schedule for the week. I am trying for two, POSSIBLY three workouts this week and some walking and a few elliptical sessions to get things started. Wish me luck. P.S. Um, thanks for the post Lynette, that was really great and made me feel very special. Um yeah, thanks for that.

Hi Rory!! You lead a very busy life! Everytime I see you, you're on your way somewhere or zipping in and out of the building. Kind of like an ant getting ready for the winter, You know where they gather food and stuff and start hoarding stuff away so they don't starve for the winter. Uhhhh, sorry, I went totally overboard on that last entry. Anyways. I'm glad to see you lost a pound this week. Keep on truckin' buddy!

I found my blog...it's right where I left it!
Mood:

Now Playing: Still Playing Catch Up

If you look very close, that small dot in the middle of the picture is Johnathan Vierra sitting there waiting for me. "YOU ARE THE LEAF!"
For the past month this has been my primary exercise. I walked dogs, washed clothes, cleaned my oven and stove top. I went for a walk on February 20th but that was about it.
I am so sorry for not keeping up with the blog world. I want to be healthy, I am going to state my goals and I am going to share the ups and downs of my life with you but it's been a busy month for me.
GOALS: Lose 30 lbs by Flag Day (June 14th) Learn healthy eating habits -Drink 2 liters of water a day. -Eat 3 servings of fruit & veggies a day. -Learn how to run and acutally enjoy it. -Get my BMI in a healthy range for my age/weight. -Learn to boulder or ride a mountain bike.
Now on to the ski trips and the pure joy and love of this sport.
Say hello to the nightmare! This lift took me and my posse to the brink of insanity. I was foolish enough to agree to make the run and I ended up having to be rescued by a nice man by the name of Bob who led me through a thicket of trees and to safety. Claullen took the high road and bailed, he rode the Bridger Gondola back to safety but I was trapped and tried to ski my way back down, ALL DAY if I had to, but the boys went down the Gros Ventre and took the SALALOM to the bottom. They were on snowboards but I was on skiis and the last time I really chewed snow I lost my ski and my pole and Bob saved me from giving up. But I think I will stick to the lower lifts and worry about being peer pressured into going through the Broncho trail and jumps than actually having to ski with skill and speed, two things I have yet to learn.
Overall it was fun. Zack told me it would be a once in a lifetime experience and it truly was. The ride back from Jackson to the school was so tiring, but I did something I didn't think I had it in me to do. Thanks fellas, it was truly terrifying!

Ski Club Trip/Ski School Lesson #3 I WAS SO SO SO TIRED by 2:10. I think I was one of the last people off of the mountain. I was pretty tired. I did a new run today, now I know where all of the traffic coming DOWN the moutain originates in one form or another. Ski instructor: Anna from Switzerland. She was very cool! We had a few language barriers but we had a great time. She's a great ski instructor and very patient. I have posted a map We did about eight runs on the lower slope and we did the blue run---can't remember the name (from the Casper) twice. The second time I was so tired I barley made it down. Pressure from the boots is becoming a little more bearable. The weather wasn't that great. We had a lot of sticky snow falling so it was tough to take photos so I didn't post any. I am starting to enjoy this sport, I wish I would have learned about it at an earlier age! I think I am going to have to invest in a pair of boots.

I watched a few movies last night and went to bed. Speaking of movies!!! Check out the link below, new movie out today. Christmas in the CloudsShowing at the Gem in Riverton Graham Greene is in this one, I'll give you a short review on Monday. Good day readers, just thought I would post and let you all know that I didn't do a darn thing today, I think it is a contagious reaction to reading Gene's post. I did walk around the building during after school, which is a major workout from time to time, but I didn't lift, didn't play volleyball, didn't do anything other than order a MEDIUM PAN PIZZA! It was great, I really needed a few slices...see that, I said a FEW. Not a COUPLE (meaning two) but a few...meaning three in my case. I tried to drink a pop but it wasn't that great so I had some orange juice instead. Talking Pedometer: 6,636 Keep an eye out for ski club photos next week. Working out tonight, seriously! Starting new lifting program next week.
